With the majority of Singapore’s food being reliant on imports, local production is a focal point for the government. For this reason, the Singapore Food Agency has launched a ‘30 by 30’ campaign, as a push to build Singapore’s agri-food capability and capacity to produce 30% of their food locally (and sustainably) by 2030. This initiative is part of Singapore’s wider ‘Green Plan 2030’, a whole-nation movement which aims to achieve net zero emissions.
