Incredible week at Axiom Space’s headquarters in Houston, Texas earlier this month where some of our team members commenced our collaborative work on the project funded by the UK Space Agency international Bilateral Fund and the Australian Space Agency to develop an autonomous environmental agriculture facility in space alongside the University of Cambridge.
What was covered:
🥬 They exchanged knowledge of their respective areas of expertise and outlined a path for merging our systems to provide an on-orbit supply of fresh food to astronauts.
🧫 The potential for on-orbit biological manufacturing and other cutting-edge biological research.
👩🚀🍃 How crew wellbeing can be improved through the positioning and design of the grow system, allowing for better air quality, and a nicer aesthetic of their environment.
