Today our CSO Jennifer Bromley will be presenting at the Crop Health & Protection – CHAP hosted ‘Plant Protein Connect: Shaping the Future of Food’ event brought by Agri-Tech Centres and funded by Innovate UK.
Jen will be discussing some of the exciting work we have been doing on the VIP Leaf project we are leading on alongside our partners.
The two-year project is developing methods that use vertical farming facilities to grow amaranth as a new source of alternative plant protein.
It aims to address growing demand by bringing together experts working in vertical farming technology and crop biology to develop a high-yielding, high-protein, quality crop.
There is so much more on the agenda too – it’s going to be a fantastic day!
