Fighting climate change will help economic growth, as “virtually all countries will suffer economically if the current trajectory of carbon emissions is maintained. At that speed, 7% of global GDP will disappear by 2100, but even if this adjustment speeds up to just 20 years, 4.5% of global GDP will be lost by 2100 as a result of business-as-usual carbon emissions.” Dr Kamiar Mohaddes, Cambridge Judge Business School.
